Life-Space Mobility in Parkinson's Disease: Associations with Motor and Non-Motor Symptoms.

Background To describe life-space mobility and explore associations of motor and non-motor symptoms with life-space mobility in people with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods About 164 community-dwelling persons with PD (mean age 71.6 years, 64.6% men) received a postal survey and a subsequent home visit. Motor assessments included perceived walking difficulties (Walk-12G), mobility (Timed Up and Go test), motor symptoms (UPDRS-III), and freezing of gait (item 3, FOG-Qsa). Foreign language anxiety : the case of young learners of English in Swedish primary classrooms

Although foreign language anxiety is a widely studied construct assumed to develop from negative experiences of language instruction, few researchers have focused on young learners in this regard. This multiple case study investigates levels and triggers of language anxiety in Swedish primary classrooms under rather favorable learning conditions with a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere, and without formal knowledge requirements or grades. A comparison of the Canon TX-20P™ non-contact tonometer and pachymeter in healthy eyes

Background: The aim of this study was to compare the intraocular pressure (IOP) and the central corneal thickness (CCT) measurements obtained with the Canon TX-20P™ with IOP measured with Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) and the CCT measured with ultrasound (US) pachymetry in healthy eyes. Methods: Thirty one healthy voluntary subjects participated in the study, age ranging from 16 to 81 years (mean age 50.9 years). In total 58 eyes were selected for analysis.
