Il existe aujourd’hui encore une tendance tres forte integrant l’analyse des musiques actuelles, et en particulier des musiques rock, dans le carcan d’une analyse « traditionnelle », heritiere de l’analyse tonale appliquee aux musiques savantes voire au jazz. Pourtant, celle-ci s’avere impuissante a decrire l’ensemble du phenomene sonore constituant une œuvre musicale « rock ».
