Background Essential tremor (ET) and Parkinson's disease (PD) are the two most common movement disorders, and tremor is the most visible symptom. Comparative study on ET and PD clinical neuropsychiatric symptoms was performed to assess the impact of emotional state on tremor. Esenciālais tremors Latvijā: ģenētiskā un klīniskā izpēte

Esenciālais tremors (ET) ir otra biežākā kustību traucējumu slimība pasaulē. 240 ET pacientiem un kontroles grupai (KG) veikta genotipēšana ETM1 un ETM2 lokusos un kandidātgēniem HS1-BP3; HCLS1, DRD3, LINGO1, MAO A,B. Tika secināts, ka Latvijas populācijā ET fenotips ir saistāms ar LINGO1 gēna ģimenes formu. Pētījuma otrā daļa tika veikta 45 ET, 40 Parkinsona slimības (PS) pacientiem un 40 KG (statistiskā datu analīze 40:35:39), lai noskaidrotu Latvijas ET klīnisko raksturojumu, biežākos psihiskos simptomus un to asociāciju ar tremoru.
