Heart rate is one of the important physiological parameter to measure the stability of the health. This study shows analysis of a proposed algorithm to calculate heart rate with miss touch errors to make it more efficient. Android Smart phone with good quality camera has come to reach of common people and has become one of the most necessary and powerful device for today and of course, for future generation. We can use its powerful features to solve or assess heart state monitoring through capturing necessary data in the form of image. Mobile camera has a photo emitting diode and a photo detector. Light source illuminates the tissue and photo-detector calculates the small intensity variation in light at visible wavelength. The red video was captured when body was in rest. We have captured contact video with visible light wavelength to capture PPG using a Smart Phone Camera (Moto-G Turbo Edition). Then, we removed certain percent of camera touch errors based on average pixel intensity count in red plane and it is a new approach to introduce here. We have used 2nd Order Butterworth (IIR) band pass filter for noise removal (unwanted frequency) and smoothing, FFT Hann Window for frequency analysis with leakage reduction and thereby developed an algorithm for accurate heart rate measurement. We have analyzed the FFT data point selection, window size selection, Butterworth order selection by analyzing the signals in MATLAB Signal Processing.
