Il tema è, da una parte, la ricostruzione del monumento in un quadro di restituzione iconica e identitaria, e dall’altra quello della ricostruzione dei centri storici e di parti intere di città in un quadro di emergenza ambientale. Essi sono strettamente connessi e hanno a che fare con una comune teoria della rovina che comprende indistintamente le distruzioni per eventi naturali, quelle per eventi bellici e naturalmente quelle per mano del tempo, osservate tutte in una prospettiva formale delle vestigia e del loro potenziale di persistenza come patrimonio. The theme is, on the one hand, the reconstruction of the monument in a framework of iconic and identity restitution, and on the other that of the reconstruction of historic centers and entire parts of the city in an environment of emergency. They are closely related and have to do with a common theory of ruin that includes the destruction by natural events, by war and of course by the time, all observed in a formal perspective of the ruins and their persistence potential as heritage.
