This study analyzes the pages of online dating, more specifically, the interpretation that Chilean surfers perform these virtual spaces; interactions that occur within these web portals; and the sense that national users associate with their interactions. To answer these objectives not only a number of methods of collection and analysis of information is used, but in turn, the data generated is inserted in a wide theoretical discussion about love and relationships. Thus, in the first part of this work, the imagery of love is analyzed from its main myths and stories. Subsequently the historical and sociological constitution of relationships is analyzed. Epistemological, methodological and ethical implications of research on the Internet are discussed to end the first part of this study; and, in turn, the present the steps, procedures and techniques for the collection and analysis of empirical data. The second part of this study are the results of research. This section briefly presents the national context in which the pages of encounter emerge ; Of course, the opinion held by Chilean internet websites on matchmaking; then the start of virtual interaction is described and shown as follows this achievement similar to the offline parameters; subsequently, the transition from online to offline; the last stage of this description is the "post-date"; to complete the second part of this work, and as a corollary, some reflections on the differentiated use that men and women dating sites are established. Finally, the conclusions of this study returns to the research questions. Here it is stated that dating sites are an ambiguous space for Chilean source of distrust, along with also being a place of desire and hope of finding that "special" person, or places to establish a one-night stand or a long-term relationship. In turn, it noted that digital interactions that arise from the meeting pages, participate in their own social, cultural and economic trends of modern love, which enables people to combine, not without some degree of conflict, reason and emotion in matchmaking. And finally, it states that "romantic love" is a framework of meaning used by people, especially the women within the meeting pages, and therefore it is possible to note that love survives the Internet.
