Abstract The purpose of this paper is to review the different models which integrate Six Sigma and Knowledge Management (KM) approaches and also to identify the advantages and disadvantages of those models. Based on literature, the available Six Sigma and KM models have been reviewed. All the models have been critically analysed according to their structure and end users and finally the advantages and disadvantages are enlisted. The Overview expressed that more or less every model has been proposed aiming to the specific endues and each model has both strength and weakness for application to all sectors. In this article, the advantages and disadvantages of existing Six Sigma-KM models have been identified. This study may offer some guidance to find new directions to eliminate the week points of those models by introducing new ideas and methodologies
