En el presente trabajo analizamos algunas características del discurso ideológico y se señalan algunas de las muchas y profundas diferencias entre la ciencia y la ideología. Después abordamos las condiciones que habrían de darse para que un discurso ideoló gico pudiera ser científico, y las razones que avalarían la imposibilidad de que tal discurso fuera científico. In this paper I analyze some characteristics of ideological discourse and point out some of the profound differences between science and ideology. Then I address the conditions that would have to be met so that an ideological discourse could be scientific, and the reasons that would support the impossibility of such discourse being scientific.
