The title of the study covers both instances of Tadeusz Różewicz’s literary output, which are present within the circle of the German language (the art of translation) and the forms of the presences of the German literature and culture in the author’s own texts, metatexts, self-commentaries. Still, the poet’s dialogical word, as contextual and inter-textual networking (“knots in the net”) which creates an open space for the literary-cultural discourses (the following are present here, among others: Goethe, Holderlin, Celan, Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Heidegger), becomes a superior value that permeates the character of the “textual world” active here. At the same time, a look at translation as evidence to the original being read, allows not only capturing the very process of reading itself (reception), but also seeing Różewicz’s word in the motion of readings (the environment of another language/ inter-textual environment), in the space of talks on the condition of man and culture, ethics and humanities.
