While noting the significant peculiarities of the construction Qui dit Noël dit cadeau, Kentaro Koga has launched a series of research on all the infrastructures of this construction, with the aim of revealing their internal organization and identifying their possible lexical and syntactic variations. This article – « Qui dit Noël dit cadeau : modèle, variation et idées conventionnelles » – by Kentaro Koga, established from his own collection of linguistic data, studies the uses of the construction qui dit X dit Y in the French nowadays. Nevertheless, it seems that his conclusions are more or less arbitrary, which il the reason why we will re-examine this construction from other hermeneutical angles. Finally, we will propose new theses with the necessary modification.
