Dogmat – początek, rozwój czy koniec refleksji?

In Catholic theology use of the term “dogma” is the most frequently associated with the normative dimension of faith. The above given title while speaking about “reflction” seems in addition to limit the meaning of the notion of “dogma” to the cognitive matters. Historical and substantive regard to the understanding of dogma doesn’t allow such a restriction. The article tries to explain it in four points. The origin of dogma as a notion and in its contents was shown on the basis of biblical and patristic texts as well as in the light of the fist councils (1). The development of the understanding of dogma up to the present times was shown on the selected examples – to begin with Vincent of Lérins and ending with Walter Kasper. (2). In more detailed way was explained the problem of the “evolution of dogma” (3). The last part contains a synthetic evaluation of the problem of dogma in the opinions of Wolfgang Beinert and Vaclav Hryniewicz (4).
