La ricerca indaga la continuità nelle vicende urbane di Catania tra il primo ed il secondo Novecento, grazie alla persistenza, nel contesto professionale, di alcune figure chiave. La tesi ripercorre gli eventi anche attraverso il filtro della loro dimensione privata, ritrovando in Raffaele Leone, architetto e regista della città, un’importante "cerniera" tra il periodo compreso tra i due conflitti mondiali e gli anni del secondo dopoguerra. The research investigates the continuity in the urban events of Catania between the first and the late twentieth century, thanks to the persistence, in the professional context, of some important figures . The thesis traces the events through the filter of their private dimension, finding in Raffaele Leone, architect and director of the city, an important "bridge " between the period between the two world conflicts and the years after World War II.
