Moving from the comparison between I. 2.7.3 e C. 5.3.20, the A. questions the meaning of the short passage ‘nos ... consequentia nomina rebus esse studentes constituimus ...’ reported in I. 2.7.3, from which the maxim ‘nomina sunt consequentia rerum’ would reasonably be derived.
