Alain Badiou and the restart of the Idea of communism from Althusserianism, Lacanism and Maoism

En el siguiente texto pretendemos mostrar cómo el fundamento de la teoría filosófica del pensador francés Alain Badiou tiene origen en su reflexión acerca de su práctica política iniciada a partir de los acontecimientos de mayo del 68 y que, tal y como reconocerá el propio Badiou en años posteriores, consistió en un recomienzo de la Idea de comunismo bajo la secuencia maoísta. De esta manera argumentaremos cómo para realizar esta reflexión el filósofo francés se apoyó en sus lecturas tempranas, tratando de sintetizar la teoría de causalidad estructural althusseriana, la teoría subjetiva lacaniana y la teoría dialéctica maoísta. Abstract: In the following text we intend to show that the basis of Badiou’s philosophical theory is originated in his thought about his political practice which began from the events of May 1968, and as Badiou will state later, which consisted of the restart of the Idea of communism under the Maoist sequence. This way, we will show how the French philosopher based this thought on his early works by trying to synthesize Althusser’s theory of structural causality, Lacan’s subjective theory and the Maoist dialectical theory.
