The article refers to the evaluation of local informers regarding collective overview of functioning of industrial settlement. The conducted research allowed to present fundamental spheres of community life from the perspective of the entire industrial town. The settlement constitutes not only a place of everyday life but also a place of young generation growth. The main aim of the study was to describe socio-cultural and educational settlement and its contemporary functioning. The past few years of urban transformation have led to the withdrawal from the idea of community (spatial) education to the benefit of privatization of teaching contents in social groups, institutions and mass media. The results of such initiatives were considered in the presented study.
