Franz Rosenzweig belongs to a group of philosophers who have never crossed the threshold of a wider popularity. This does not change the fact that his philosophical thought is significant. Article aims to aprximate the key issues which make the specifics of his philosophy. These include, above all, a new concept of experience, developed in opposition to the narrower interpretations of Kant and British empiricists. Absolute empiricism, as he Rosenzweig describes his philosophy, it is possible to und erstand only through taking into account the categories of time and the category the Other. The main part of my article concerns this problem. Finally, my considerations going towards explaining how to understand Rosenzweig’s idea of salvation. Analyses ending an attempt to demonstrate the similarities between the structure of und erstanding the sacred time in Judaism and Christianity. These similarities decide that Rosenzweig recognizes Judaism and Christianity as two parallel forms, two ways of realization of the same idea of salvation.
