Resumen . Durante la Transicion espanola a la democracia, la sociedad espanola asitio a un profundo debate sobre el derecho de autodeterminacion del Sahara Occidental. Los partidos de izquierda, intelectuales democratas y autoridades franquistas apoyaron la independencia de la antigua colonia espanola. Sin embargo, Juan Goytisolo participo en la discusion desde Triunfo y El Pais con una postura que causo una gran controversia y diversas reacciones. Este articulo analiza los argumentos del debate durante aquellos anos. During the Spanish Transition to Democracy, the Spanish society witnessed a profound debate about the right to self-determination of Western Sahara. The left parties, democrats intellectuals and Franco authorities supported the independence of the Spanish colony. However, Juan Goytisolo participated in the discussion from Triunfo and El Pais with a point of view that caused a huge controversy and several reactions.
