Català Etimologia Nomsdescription
This paper analyses the names that Catalan-Speaking writers and scholars were using to refer the Catalan language between 1854 and 1906. These used mainly the names 'llemosí' and 'català', but the second displaces the first at a different rate in the different Catalan Countries. The withdrawal of the 'llemosí' begins in Northern Catalonia and spreads first in Catalonia ¿since 1854¿ and later in the Balearic Islands and Valencian Country.
