Disegnata dal frate Giuseppe Mariani, la villa-palazzo di Luigi Naselli, Principe di Aragona, fu edificata nella seconda decade del Settecento. Attraverso una originale indagine archivistica la monografia ricostruisce le fasi della sua edificazione, le trasformazioni, l'importante passaggio di proprietà ai Filangeri di Cutò nel 1803, i rifacimenti intervenuti nelle sale interne tra la metà dell'Ottocento e i primi del Novecento, i rapporti con il fenomeno più ampio dell'architettura delle ville. Lo studio si interrompe con il primo dopoguerra, che registra il passaggio dalla proprietà aristocratica - la villa era stata ereditata da Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa - ad alcuni gruppi familiari della borghesia locale in ascesa. Designed by Giuseppe Mariani, the villa Aragona was built in the second decade of the eighteenth century for Luigi Naselli, Prince of Aragona,. Through an original archival research the monograph reconstructs the steps of its construction, the transformations, the important change of ownership to Filangeri di Cutò in 1803, the interiors renovation occurring in the mid-nineteenth century and in early twentieth century, the connections with the wider construction history of Bagheria villas. The study stops in the years following the First World War, when the villa get out from its aristocratic ownership, having being sold to the rising bourgeoisie by the writer Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa.
