Il saggio analizza i rapporti che Luigi Russo ha intessuto tra le discipline dell'estetica e dell'architettura. In particolare viene sottolineata la attenzione prestata da Russo a due eventi fondamentali nello sviluppo dell'architettura e delle teorie del progetto che la sottendono. Il primo è il fenomeno dei rapporti esistenti tra retorica e teoria dell'architettura, argomento spesso sorvolato anche negli studi specifici. Il secondo è l'impatto del cartesianesimo sul pensiero architettonico. Nel saggio viene analizzata la produzione editoriale incentivata da Russo in relazione a questi due temi Luigi Russo has dedicated much effort in establishing relations between Aesthetics and Architecture. The essay focuses on the major ones. The first one is the relationship between Rhetorics and fundamentals concepts of the main tradition of architectural theory. The second one regard the impact of Cartesianism on architectural and aesthetical thinking
