Il saggio intende approfondire i temi del viaggio e del pellegrinaggio attraverso l'analisi della scrittura letteraria e dei multiformi significati che le due esperienze, quella del viaggio e del pellegrinaggio, rappresentano. Il viaggio è anche l’espressione dell’osservazione diretta, uno dei più importanti metodi dell’indagine geografica che permette fin da piccoli di acquisire la capacità di studiare il paesaggio, l’ambiente e il rapporto individuo-natura. Esso fornisce input di riflessione, stimola domande, pone questioni anche di rilievo globale. Oggetto del viaggio, inteso come esperienza di conoscenza, è spesso il paesaggio, per i Geografi un concetto tanto complesso quanto affascinante. The essay aims to deepen the themes of travel and pilgrimage through the analysis of literary writing and the multifaceted meanings that the two experiences, that of travel and pilgrimage, represent. Travel is also the expression of direct observation, one of the most important methods of geographical investigation that allows from an early age to acquire the ability to study the landscape, the environment and the individual-nature relationship. It provides input for reflection, stimulates questions, raises questions, even poses questions of global importance.
