Actual trends in the development of polyolefins

The previous development and the actual and anticipated future situation in the world market of polyolefins was presented and the importance and applications of polyolefins discussed. The reasons of their dominant position among plastics materials were explained. The methods of plastics wastes utilization were characterized with particular attention paid to polyolefins. The industrial situation of this group of polymers in Poland was discussed.
