This essay discusses the traits of continuity that link the film to Matta-Clarck's previous actions of dissecting architecture (building cuts). In addiction it argues how the use the film medium renders City Slivers an action that both destabilizes and formalizes, providing extraordinary potential for the disclosure and transformation of urban space.
