The effect of the structure of catalysts of the type left bracket Ti(OPh)//nCl//4 // minus //n plus Al//2Et//3Cl//3 right bracket (n equals 0-4) on their activity in the process of low-pressure ethylene polymerization and on the kinetics of this polymerization has been investigated. The mechanism of the effect of the number of phenoxyl ligands (n) in the titanium-component of the catalyst on the rate constants of the elementary reactions, molecular mass of polyethylene obtained and constants characterizing catalyst activity has been elucidated.
