description

During the first century BC AD, the south-east of the Massif central has the particularity of positioning itself at the interface of two major culturalentities, internal Gaul and the Roman province of Transalpine. The upper course of the river Loire is therefore a major axis of interaction betweenthese two systems, around which develops a network of habitats and structured agglomerations among which are inserted fortified spaces withconfigurations and functions varied.
