Abstract Responsibility in the Anthropocene The following contribution is based on the proposal to call the current Earth Age ›Anthropocene‹, because mankind today is reshaping its planet far more than ever before. From an ethical point of view, this also entails a higher degree of responsibility. The article makes clear which drastic measures must be taken in the context of the necessary ›Great Transformation‹ and discusses the question of the sources from which the current generation can draw its motivation for this.
