Abstract Skin resurfacing for cutaneous rejuvenation has evolved with the development of a plethora of nonsurgical and minimally invasive modalities. We have highlighted the advances in laser therapy, chemical peels, radiofrequency, microneedling, and platelet-rich plasma therapy. We have also included studies providing head-to-head comparisons between procedures and discussed relevant debates in the field. We have examined additionally combination treatments and resurfacing in acne scars, melasma, and skin of color.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is prevalent worldwide and is associated with dramatic levels of morbidity and mortality. Isolated anti-HBc (IAHBc) is a particular serological pattern that is commonly found in immunocompromised patients. There is ongoing debate regarding the management of patients with IAHBc. Herein, we summarize the current guidelines and the newest evidence. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may include rare extra-articular manifestations, and particularly cardiopulmonary involvement. We report a 83-year-old woman, with RA, who presented with both pulmonary and heart failures that were related to the RA, resulting from the presence of mediastinal and axillary lymph nodes, and pleural and pericardial effusions. This was confirmed by the dramatic improvement after a specific treatment of RA.
