Adiabatic Elimination and Sub-space Evolution of Open Quantum Systems
2020
Efficient descriptions of open quantum systems can be obtained by performing an adiabatic elimination of the fast degrees of freedom and formulating effective operators for the slow degrees of freedom in reduced dimensions. Here, we perform the construction of effective operators in frequency space, and using the final value theorem or alternatively the Keldysh theorem, we provide a correction for the trace of the density matrix which takes into account the non trace-preserving character of the evolution. We illustrate our results with two different systems, ones where the eliminated fast subspace is constituted by a continuous set of states and ones with discrete states. Furthermore, we sh…
Acetazolamide-M(II) [M(II) = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)] complexes with ethylamine, diethylamine, triethylamine, and potassium hidroxide
1991
Abstract Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) with dideprotonated Acm are synthesized and characterized. Acm acts as bidentate ligand through the N-sulfonamido atom and the N-thiadiazole atom except for K6CoAcm4·6H2O in which Acm behaves as monodentate through the N-sulfonamido atom.
Dermal dendritic cells, but not Langerhans cells, are critical in murine single epicutaneous sensitization
2014
A murine repeated protein-patch model has been established to study epicutaneous sensitization in atopic dermatitis. This model has shown a predominant Th2 and a weak Th1 response in both BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice. However, Th responses induced in the repeated model are not consistent with the generally accepted theory that BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice are Th2 and Th1 prone and are representatives of human atopy and non-atopy, respectively. In this study, a single protein-patch model was established, which showed in addition to the Th2 response, a remarkable Th1 response in C57BL/6 mice, but not in BALB/c mice. Moreover, using muLangerin-DTR mice, we demonstrated that dermal dendritic cells, but n…
Structure d'attachement dans la dermatite atopique
2011
Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disorder which usually appears before the age of five, and heals naturally little by little after adolescence in over 90% of cases. Why this spontaneous improvement occurs is not clearly established for this multi-factor skin disorder, for which the etiopathology has yet to be determined (immune system maturity?).There is a clear relationship between this pathology and the psyche: major psychological repercussions affecting the quality of life, aggravation or triggering of skin reactions due to stress, alleviation of lesions using psychotherapy. Observation of patterns of attachment is important in the field of psychopathology, but is not often unde…
On-line bidirectional electrostacking of chromium(III) and chromium(VI) for flame atomic absorption spectrometry determination
2000
Abstract An on-line bidirectional electrostacking-flow injection-flame atomic absorption spectrometry method has been developed for the simultaneous separation, pre-concentration and determination of Cr(III) and Cr(VI). The electrostacking-flow injection unit was established, the pH and components of the support buffer and sample medium were investigated. Results indicated that the ionic mobility, electric field strength and sample area cross-section are the main influence factors on the electrostacking. The calibration range for both, Cr(III) and Cr(VI), was from 20 to 400 μg l −1 . The limit of detection was 7 μg l −1 for three-times the standard deviation of blank values using a electros…
Non-chromatographic speciation of toxic arsenic in vegetables by hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry after ultrasound-assisted extrac…
2007
A non-chromatographic, sensitive and simple analytical method has been developed for the determination of toxic arsenic species in vegetable samples by hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry (HG-AFS). As(III), As(V), dimethylarsinic acid (DMA) and monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) were determined by hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry using a series of proportional equations. The method is based on a single extraction of the arsenic species considered from vegetables through sonication at room temperature with H(3)PO(4) 1 mol L(-1) in the presence of 0.1% (w/v) Triton XT-114 and washing of the solid phase with 0.1% (w/v) EDTA, followed by direct measurement of the co…
Determination of mercury in dry-fish samples by microwave digestion and flow injection analysis system cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry
1997
Abstract Flow injection analysis system cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (FIAS-CV-AAS) preceded by a wet digestion in a microwave oven, as a method for measuring mercury in fish was studied. The digestion process and conditions of the FIAS (carrier concentration: HCl 3% v v ; reducing agent: SnCl2 2% w v : filling and injection times: 8 and 25 min, respectively; and sample volumes) were optimized. The analytical parameters of the proposed method (detection limit = 7.7 ng/g; precision intraassay = 6.7%; interassay = 14.0%) demonstrates its adequacy and are similar to the ones (detection limit = 19.4 ng/g; precision intraassay = 11.2%; interassay = 15.9%) obtained using a conventiona…
Simultaneous determination of hydride and non-hydride forming elements by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry
2011
The operating characteristics of a dual nebulization system were studied including instrumental and chemical conditions for the hydride generation and analytical figures of merit for both, hydride and non hydride forming elements. Analytical performance of the neb…
GFAAS determination of selenium in infant formulas using a microwave digestion method.
1994
A method for determining the selenium content of infant formulas is proposed. It includes wet digestion with nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide in medium pressure teflon bombs in a microwave oven and determination by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS). The absence of interferences is checked. Values obtained for the limit of detection (19.4 ng/g), precision (RSD = 2.2%) and accuracy by analysis of a reference material show that the method is reliable.
Simultaneous determinations of zirconium, hafnium, yttrium and lanthanides in seawater according to a co-precipitation technique onto iron-hydroxide.
2013
Very low concentrations (pg mL(-1) or sub-pg mL(-1) level) along with the high salinity are the main problems in determining trace metal contents in seawater. This problem is mainly considered for investigations of naturally occurring YLOID (Y and Lanthanides) and Zr and Hf in order to provide precise and accurate results. The inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), both in high and low resolution, offers many advantages including simultaneous analyses of all elements and their quantitative determination with detection limits of the order of pg mL(-1). However in the analysis of YLOID in seawater, a better determination needs an efficient combination of ICP-MS measurement wit…
