Feasibility of FPGA accelerated IPsec on cloud

Abstract Hardware acceleration for famous VPN solution, IPsec, has been widely researched already. Still it is not fully covered and the increasing latency, throughput, and feature requirements need further evaluation. We propose an IPsec accelerator architecture in an FPGA and explain the details that need to be considered for a production ready design. This research considers the IPsec packet processing without IKE to be offloaded on an FPGA in an SDN network. Related work performance rates in 64 byte packet size for throughput is 1–2 Gbps with 0.2 ms latency in software, and 1–4 Gbps with unknown latencies for hardware solutions. Fuzzy cooperative control of automated ground passenger vehicles

In this paper a fuzzy motion control for cooperative passenger automated vehicles where there are not collisions between the closest ones is proposed. Based on the position of the target and on the initial position of each cooperative vehicle, a supervisory plans nonholonomic circular trajectories which are without intersections, while a fuzzy control strategy assures the asymptotical stability of the motion errors and the reaching of the target with low acceleration values along the planned trajectories. Data-based modeling of vehicle collisions by nonlinear autoregressive model and feedforward neural network

Vehicle crash test is the most direct and common method to assess vehicle crashworthiness. Visual inspection and obtained measurements, such as car acceleration, are used, e.g. to examine impact severity of an occupant or to assess overall car safety. However, those experiments are complex, time-consuming, and expensive. High-gradient testing of an $S$-band, normal-conducting low phase velocity accelerating structure

A novel high-gradient accelerating structure with low phase velocity, $v/c=0.38$, has been designed, manufactured and high-power tested. The structure was designed and built using the methodology and technology developed for CLIC $100\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MV}/\mathrm{m}$ high-gradient accelerating structures, which have speed of light phase velocity, but adapts them to a structure for nonrelativistic particles. The parameters of the structure were optimized for the compact proton therapy linac project, and specifically to 76 MeV energy protons, but the type of structure opens more generally the possibility of compact low phase velocity linacs. Commutators of second-class axial currents with normal weak currents and consequences for particle decays

1981

Second-class weak axial currents are studied in the framework of normal weak and electromagnetic currents. Equal time commutators between normal and abnormal axial currents and the isoscalar electromagnetic current are postulated and their consequences are worked out. A number of predictions for masses, coupling constants and decay properties are derived and are compared to available data.

Linking gamma-ray spectra of supernova remnants to the cosmic ray injection properties in the aftermath of supernovae

The acceleration times of the highest-energy particles which emit gamma-rays in young and middle-age SNRs are comparable with SNR age. If the number of particles starting acceleration was varying during early times after the supernova explosion then this variation should be reflected in the shape of the gamma-ray spectrum. We use the solution of the non-stationary equation for particle acceleration in order to analyze this effect. As a test case, we apply our method to describe gamma-rays from IC443. As a proxy of the IC443 parent supernova we consider SN1987A. First, we infer the time dependence of injection efficiency from evolution of the radio spectral index in SN1987A. Then, we use the…

PRODUCTION CHARACTERISTICS OF K-0 AND LIGHT MESON RESONANCES IN HADRONIC DECAYS OF THE Z(0)

An analysis of inclusive production of K0and the meson resonances K*±(892), ρ0(770), f0(975) and f2(1270) in hadronic decays of the Z0is presented, based on about 973,000 multihadronic events collected by the DELPHI detector at LEP during 1991 and 1992. Overall multiplicities have been determined as 1.962±0.060 K0mesons, 0.712±0.067 K*±(892) and 1.21±0.15ρ0(770) per hadronic Z0decay. The average multiplicities of f0(975) for scaled momentum, xp, in the range 0.05≤xp≤0.6 and of f2(1270) for 0.05≤xp≤1.0 are 0.098±0.016 and 0.170±0.043 respectively. The f0(975) and ρ0(770)xp-spectra have similar shapes. The f2(1270)/ρ0(770) ratio increases with xp. The average multiplicities…

MEASUREMENT OF THE GAMMA(B-B-OVER-BAR)/GAMMA(HAD) BRANCHING RATIO OF THE Z BY DOUBLE HEMISPHERE TAGGING

1995

Two measurements of {Mathematical expression} are presented. Both measurements use 250000 Z decays taken with the DELPHI detector in 1991 and rely mainly on the precision of the microvertex detector. One tagging method is as simple as possible so that background rates can be reliably predicted by simulation. The other one uses a more involved tagging technique and reduces the dependence on simulation as much as possible. Combining both results, {Mathematical expression} is found to be 0.2209±0.0041(stat.)±0.0042(syst.)±0.0018 {Mathematical expression}. © 1995 Springer-Verlag.
