Por una parte, se reflexiona sobre como sus relaciones con la ciudad de Valencia pudieron influir en sus intereses artisticos y sobre la manera en que “lo valencianoˮ estaba presente en sus colecciones personales. L’edizione della redazione volgare del De pictura curata dalla Bertolini inaugura la sezione «Trattati d’arte» dell’«edizione nazionale» delle opere dell’Alberti e costituisce in certo modo un primo tomo del volume che si completerà con la pubblicazione della redazione latina. La sequenza editoriale ripropone l’ordine cronologico che, secondo la tesi ripresa e riformulata da Lucia Bertolini nel 2000 e qui sviluppata in un’ampia premessa, vide nascere per mano dell’Alberti prima la stesura volgare e poi quella latina.
Chimpanzees surviving in a fragmented high‐altitude forest landscape of the Congolese Albertine Rift

This paper documents a community of eastern chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii Giglioli, 1872) inhabiting three relict forest fragments situated on the Lake Albert escarpment, down the Ituri highlands, of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The area explored had a combined forested surface of ±18.15 km2 in 2017, shrinking by 1.2% per year between 2010 and 2015. Between 2015 and 2017, we found 160 chimpanzee nests along 37.6 km of pilot walks, some up to 2,000 m altitude. Attraverso l’esame della nozione di “artista dotto” - tracciata dallo stesso Alberti nel De pictura – si avvia un’indagine sui destinatari dei trattati albertiani relativi alle arti figurative. Infatti il lettore di Alberti non è più l’artigiano che nel manuale cerca regole operative, ma è un personaggio più colto che deve avere competenze in ambiti differenti (dal latino alla musica, dalla matematica alla retorica). Probabilmente i veri destinatari si potrebbero individuare tra i dotti uditori delle corti signorili, a cui l’umanista aveva già rivolto altre opere (il Philodoxeos, il De equo animante, il Teogenio, i Ludi Matematici). The subject of this essay-based dissertation is Hume’s natural philosophy. The dissertation consists of four separate essays and an introduction. These essays do not only treat Hume’s views on the topic of natural philosophy, but his views are placed into a broader context of history of philosophy and science, physics in particular. The introductory section outlines the historical context, shows how the individual essays are connected, expounds what kind of research methodology has been used, and encapsulates the research contributions of the essays. The article traces the evolution of the publishing practice in the field of translations undertaken by Alberto Mondadori after the Second World War. Through some letters of the publisher to his collaborators, the analysis highlights the nature of his choices, which were often motivated not only by the desire to publish complete works, but also by personal and political reasons, such as the desire of self‑affirmation, to introduce himself as a “new publisher in a new era”, in clear antithesis with the past.
