Electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) strongly relies on a priori assumptions and additional information to overcome ill-posedness. The major challenge of obtaining good reconstructions consists in finding ways to add information that effectively restricts the solution space without violating properties of the sought solution. Key Teaching Points • Despite proven catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT) with pathogen RyR2 mutation and recurrent syncope, patients could have a favorable long-term outcome over 35 years under treatment. • Propafenone could be effective for treatment of patients with CPVT. • The beneficial effect of the monotherapy with propafenone in our patient may result from the combined antiarrhythmic effect of this drug with Na+ channel blockade and beta blocker capabilities.

Domestic violence in Africa: a glance through the DHS survey

Recent data states that 33 per cent of women in Sub-Saharan Africa are survivors of domestic violence. This work aims at assessing the association between women’s characteristics, their environment, and their history of violence in fifteen African countries. Three kinds of violence were explored: physical, emotional and sexual, each one exerted by the current partner. The data are from Demographic and Health Survey, in which a special module assessed domestic violence in female respondents.
