Price Impact Function of a Single Transaction

Although supply and demand are perhaps the most fundamental concepts in economics, finding any general form for their behavior has proved to be elusive. Here we discuss our recent findings [1] on the price impact function empirically detected in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Our study builds on earlier studies of how trading affects prices [2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11]. In particular, we look at the short term response to a single trade. This is done by using huge amounts of data and by measuring the market activity in units of transactions rather than seconds, so that we can more naturally aggregate data for many different stocks. Kontekstem badań było to, że komentatorzy Księgi Ezechiela nie są zgodni w sprawie struktury badanych tekstów i proponują odmienne schematy. Celem badań stało się odkrycie struktury, którą starożytny autor natchniony zawarł w tekście. By osiągnąć założony cel, zastosowano metodę retoryki hebrajskiej, którą opracował Roland Meynet. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań udało się odkryć, że sprofanowana świątynia ma strukturę paralelno-koncentryczną, składającą się z 9 elementów (A, B, C, D, E, D’, C’, B’, A’), natomiast dolina suchych kości też ma strukturę paralelno-koncentryczną, na którą składa się 5 elementów (A, B, C, B’, A’). The article was dedicated to one of the prayers – the Litany to Saint Barbara – in a Baroque Polish-language prayer book addressed to this patroness. It was published in Wrocław in 1747 by the Jesuit order for a fraternity dedicated to Saint Barbara, who was then treated as the patron of a happy death. This confraternity was established in Tarnowskie Góry as the third one in Upper Silesia. However, for the recruitment of members from various regions of Silesia and the fi rst binding of the brotherhood to the mining community, he is given pioneer signifi cance. The economic impact of audit failures

This paper examines the economic consequences associated with an audit failure in the field of statutory auditing services, by analyzing changes in the audit firm’s market share around the time of the investigation process undertaken by the Spanish Public Oversight Board. We explore the variations in audit market share by applying the difference in differences method to a treatment group of 70 sanctioned audit firms and a matched control group of 70 non-sanctioned audit firms. Revenue management aims at improving the performance of an organization by selling the right product/service to the right customer at the right time. This task is very dependent on uncontrollable external factors. In the hospitality industry, rooms of the hotel represent perishable assets and fixed capacities at the same time.
