Experimental study and physical modeling of simultaneous heat and moisture transfer in bio-sourced insulating materials.

The conventional heat transfer models are not sufficiently suitable for thermal characterization of bio-sourced thermal insulating materials due to their strongly hydrophilic nature. The proposed work in this PhD thesis aims to answer this problem with experimental and theoretical approaches of coupled heat-moisture transfers. In the experimental approach, a thermal insulating material based on Flax Fiber Felt (FFF) is developed and then characterized at different hygrometric conditions with an asymmetric hot plate device. Effect of Nitrogen Fertilization on the Quality of Swiss Chard at Harvest and during Storage as Minimally Processed Produce

The effects of different levels of nitrogen fertilization (0–50–100–150–200 kg/ha), minimal processing and cold storage (14 days at 4C) on yield and quality of fresh-cut Swiss chard (Beta vulgaris L. var. cicla L.) were evaluated. Increasing the level of nitrogen fertilization over 100 kg N/ha, plants had a higher fresh weight, reduced their dry matter content and resulted taller and leafier. Total and marketable yield increased linearly with increasing nitrogen level. Both nitrate and ascorbic acid content at harvest increased with increasing nitrogen supply. El ex Servicio de Informaciones de la Policía de Santa Fe (SI) funcionó entre 1976 y 1979 como centro clandestino de detención (CCD) en la ciudad de Rosario, provincia de Santa Fe, Argentina. En el mismo se estima que permaneció secuestrada la mayor cantidad de detenidos desaparecidos en la región. En el año 2002 el ex CCD comienza a ser gestionado por diferentes organismos de Derechos Humanos locales, a través de un comodato concedido por el gobierno provincial. Tras el vencimiento del mismo en el año 2012 y luego de una serie de intervenciones arquitectónicas, el ex SI fue inaugurado por el gobierno de Santa Fe como Espacio de memoria en 2015.
