“SAP C4C” sistēmas papildināšana un integrācija ar ārējām sistēmām
2022
Carbon dynamics of soil organic matter in bulk soil and aggregate fraction during secondary succession in a Mediterranean environment.
2013
Clarifying which factors cause an increase or decrease in soil organic carbon (SOC) after agricultural abandonment requires integration of data on the temporal dynamics of the plant community and SOC. A chronosequence of abandoned vineyards was studied on a volcanic island (Pantelleria, Italy). Vegetation in the abandoned fields was initially dominated by annual and perennial herbs, then by Hyparrhenia hirta (L.) Stapf, and finally by woody communities. As a consequence, the dominant photosynthetic pathway changed from C3 to C4 and then back to C3. Conversion of a plant community dominated by one photosynthetic pathway to another changes the 13C/12C ratio of inputs to SOC. Using the time si…

Possible association of sudden infant death with partial complement C4 deficiency revealed by post-mortem DNA typing of HLA class II and III genes
1989
Based on evidence of an increased rate of respiratory infections in sudden infant death (SID) infants as well as the observation of familial occurrence, we analysed in a retrospective study class II and class II genes of the major histocompatibility complex in 40 cases of SID by Southern blot analysis of DNA obtained post mortem from tissue samples. In 24 cases, the parents were interviewed and confirmatory human lymphocyte antigen (HLA) and DNA typing was carried out. Using HLA-DR beta and -DQ beta probes, no evidence of an abnormal HLA-DR frequency distribution in SID infants was detected (P = 0.97). Using DNA probes for the tandemly arranged complement C4 and steroid 21-hydroxylase genes…
Kinetic Characterization of Secretory Transport of a New Ciprofloxacin Derivative (CNV97100) across Caco-2 Cell Monolayers**This work has been submit…
2002
The kinetics of transport of a new fluoroquinolone antibiotic (CNV97100) and its analogs were characterized using the Caco-2 cell culture model. Unidirectional permeabilities of these analogs were greater (p < 0.05) than that of ciprofloxacin. The absorptive permeabilities (P(AB)) of 4'-N-substituted analogs (CNV97101-104) were 400-600% greater, whereas the secretory permeability (P(BA)) was 25-80% greater than unsubstituted analogs because CNV97101-104 were poor substrates for efflux transporters (efflux ratio approximately 1). The transport of compounds without 4'-N-substitution (i.e., ciprofloxacin and CNV97100) favored secretion (efflux ratio approximately 4). Further characterization o…
The second component of human complement: Detection of two hemolytic forms in plasma by pH Variation
1988
The second component of human complement (C2) in pseudoglobulin prepared from normal plasma eluted as a single peak at high conductivity (30 mS) and pH 4.5 from the cationic exchangers S-Sepharose or Mono S in the Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography (FPLC) System. The C2 was stable at pH 4.5 and 0 degrees C if enzyme inhibitors were used and the pH was raised to 6.0 after elution from the columns. After rechromatography on Mono S in the FPLC System at the median isoelectric point of 5.5 or pH 6.0, the C2 eluted as two distinct hemolytic forms: the first peaked at 16 mS, the second at 30 mS. The two forms of C2 did not correlate with the allotypic variant of C2 in individual, normal human pla…
Patient flows through Valhalla : A survival analysis in the context of short-term care institutions
2019
Master's thesis Business Administration BE501 - University of Agder 2019 Individuals experiencing functional decline may often require some form of assistance in order to reassume their activities of daily living. A common form of rehabilitation is a stay at a short-term institution, yet readmissions to such care facilities often occur. Home-based reablement has surfaced in Norway during the past ten years and aims to assist the user in reaching their own activity goals through a self-committed and intensive program, assisted by health care workers. The objective of this study isinquiring into the patient flows between home-nurse areas and short-term institutions in southern Norway over the…
Monoclonal antibodies against components of the classical pathway of complement.
1989
Activation of the classical pathway of complement involves several binding and enzymatic cleavage processes. Binding and enzymatic activation results in the appearance of new structures in the individual components. This report describes the different activation steps for C1q, C1r, C1s, C4 and C2 and summarizes monoclonal antibodies reported so far which recognize either conserved epitopes or activation-dependent epitopes with particular emphasis on neoepitopes occurring during the activation cascade.
