The purpose of this paper is to interpret polynomial invariants of strongly invertible links in terms of Khovanov homology theory. To a divide, that is a proper generic immersion of a finite number of copies of the unit interval and circles in a [math] –disc, one can associate a strongly invertible link in the [math] –sphere. The paper deals with the stability conditions of hypogea, several hundred m 2 wide, dating from the Punic period to the XIX century, dug out of the calcarenitic table that makes up the bedrock of the Plain of Palermo in the Fossa della Garofala. This work concerns the influence that the shape of the hypogea and the characteristics of the lithotypes wields on the instability and decay phenomena taking place, by mean of laboratory tests on the calcarenite and parametric numerical models. Post-Migratory Employment Prospects: Evidence from Finland

This paper analyses the role which migration plays in improving post-migratory employment prospects of migrants (long-distance) within Finland, by examining the employment status of migrants and non-migrants at the end of the migration interval. The analysis is based on micro data from the period 1985–90. The results from multivariate analyses suggest that migration by itself has not augmented the likelihood of getting a job, even though tabular comparisons of re-employment rates between migrants and non-migrants suggest this to be the case. Aims:  The aim of this work was to preliminary characterize wild lactic acid bacteria (LAB), previously isolated during artisanal Pecorino Siciliano (PS) cheese-making for technological and flavour formation abilities in a model cheese system. Methods and Results:  Twelve LAB were studied for the ability to grow at 10 and 45°C, to coagulate and acidify both reconstituted skim milk and ewe's milk. Moreover, the capacity of the strains to generate aroma compounds was evaluated in a model cheese system at 30- and 60-day ripening. Experimental characterization of Ruthenium-based Dye Sensitized Solar Cells and study of light-soaking effect impact on performance

In this paper, we present an experimental investigation on the performance of Ruthenium-based Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) at different irradiance levels, incident wavelengths and hours of illumination. In particular, the measurements have been aimed at studying the performance variation due to light soaking effect since this phenomenon has noteworthy practical implications, such as stability tests of DSSCs. Our results show that the short circuit current density, the open circuit voltage and the conversion efficiency η increase with the hours of light soaking. Finally, the observed phenomenon is reversible, and thus the performance decreases again when the cell is kept in the dark.

Characterization of thin film CIG(S,SE)2 submodules using solar simulator and laser beam induced current techniques (Versione estesa)

In this work, the electrical and optical characterization of CIG(S, Se)2 sub-modules using both a solar simulator equipment and the Laser Beam Induced Current (LBIC) technique is presented. By using the solar simulator and a proper set-up, the electrical parameters of the modules at varying irradiance and temperatures are determined. In addition, the LBIC measurements are carried out to analyze the 2D photocurrent uniformity of the modules at two different wavelengths. Dispersion values of extracted parameters can be very useful for practically tuning the modelling stage at device/module level.

Characterization of Thin Film CIG(S,Se)2 submodules using Laser Beam Induced Current Technique

Nowadays, an important class of thin film solar cells consists of CuInGa(S,Se)2 (CIGSSe) solar cells, i.e., composed of Copper, Indium, Gallium, Sulfur and Selenide. Thanks to their electrical and optical properties and to the technological development, thin film integrated photovoltaic modules have nowadays obtained relatively good values of efficiency. In this work, we have performed the electrical and optical characterization of a CIGSSe sub-module by using both a solar simulator equipment and the Laser Beam Induced Current (LBIC) technique.
