Aunque Ortega no emplea en sus escritos el término “intercultural”, expongo de qué modo es posible entender su perspectivismo en términos interculturales. Para ello además de conectarlo con los planteamientos de dos de los principales autores de la tradición hermenéutica como son Hans-Georg Gadamer y Charles Taylor, destaco la dimensión intercultural de su perspectivismo. Tutkielma käsittelee itseyden ja identiteetin muodostumista ja siihen vaikuttavia keskeisiä tekijöitä. Identiteettiproblematiikkaa lähestytään Erik H. Eriksonin psykoanalyyttista ja psykososiaalista egon kehitysteoriaa sekä erityisesti ego-identiteetin muodostumista avaten. Toisena keskeisenä ajattelijana käytetään Charles Tayloria sekä hänen teoriaansa itseydestä ja moraalisesta ontologiasta. Työn yhtenä keskeisenä tarkoituksena on hahmottaa Eriksonin käyttämiä identiteetin, egon ja minuuden käsitteitä sekä Taylorin hermeneuttisen antropologian itseyden ja identiteetin käsitteitä.
