Automorphisms of hyperelliptic GAG-codes

Abstract We determine the n –automorphism group of generalized algebraic-geometry codes associated with rational, elliptic and hyperelliptic function fields. Such group is, up to isomorphism, a subgroup of the automorphism group of the underlying function field.
Limits to Arbitrage and Interest Rates: a Debate Between Keynes, Hawtrey and Hicks

International audience; This paper deals with a debate between Hawtrey, Hicks and Keynes concerning the capacity of the central bank to influence the short-term and the long-term rates of interest. Both Hawtrey and Keynes considered the central bank’s ability to influence short-term rates of interest. However, they do not put the same emphasis on the study of the long-term rates of interest. According to Keynes, long-term rates are influenced by future expected short-term rates (1930, 1936), whereas for Hawtrey (1932, 1937, 1938), long-term rates are more dependent on the business cycle. Heart failure and chronic kidney disease in a registry of internal medicine wards

Background: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the association between heart failure (HF) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in tertiary care centers using the clinical records of patients enrolled in internal medicine departments.Patients and methods: We used the clinical records of 1380 elderly patients to identify patients with a history of HF and CKD using admission ICD codes and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) formulas. Magnitude and strength of such associations were investigated by univariable and multivariable analysis.Results: Of the 1380 patients enrolled, 27.9% had HF (age 80 ± 7, BMI 27 ± 6 kg/m2) and 17.4% CKD (age 81 ± 7, BMI 26.8 ± 6 kg/m2). Optical properties of chlorine-and oxygen-related defects in SiO$_2$ glass and optical fibers

International audience; Photoinduced processes involving chlorine molecules in synthetic silica were studied. Interstitial Cl$_2$ in SiO$_2$ are prevented from VIS/UV photolysis by cage effect. However, they react with oxygen interstitials yielding photosensitive ClClO molecules absorbing at 264nm.

Automorphisms of Hyperelliptic GAG-codes

In this talk, we discuss the n-automorphism groups of generalized algebraic-geometry codes associated with rational, elliptic and hyperelliptic function fields. Such groups are, up to isomorphism, subgroups of the automorphism groups of the underlying function fields. We also present some examples in which the n-automorphism groups can be determined explicitly.
Corporate ethical codes as strategic documents: An analysis of success and failure

Ethical codes state the major philosophical principles and values in organizations and function as policy documents which define the responsibilities of organizations to stakeholders. They spell out the conduct expected of employees and articulate the acceptable ethical parameters of behavior in the organization. Most large US and multinational firms today have a code. If utilized effectively and embraced, codes can be key strategic documents in organizations for moderating employee behavior and reducing unethical actions.
