Longitudinal analysis of Spanish doctoral theses in education (1841-2012)
2014
This article analyzes the research output of doctoral theses in the field of Education defended in Spain from 1841-2012. It offers a quantified global and diachronic view of such series. As a landmark to note is the fact that until 1954, obtaining a doctoral degree was centralized at the Complutense University of Madrid. They are used as search engines bibliographic databases: TESEO and institutional repositories, and basic bibliography of the area to carry out the collection of the sample. The contrasting hypothesis is to verify whether the time series partially follows the pattern of growth of the science of Derek J. de Solla Price. The central finding is that the Spanish production of do…

A Pilot Study on Developing Newsgames in Collaboration between Journalism and Computer Science Students
2019
Abstract Producing digital and interactive journalistic products offers unique and important new learning opportunities for journalism education. This study analysed the experiences of two pilot courses on so-called ‘newsgames’ in a Finnish university in 2015 and 2017. The data consisted of the newsgames and other materials produced by the students, student feedback concerning the course and observations of teachers throughout the project. A visualization technique for accessing solution pool in interactive methods of multiobjective optimization
2015

Interactive methods of multiobjective optimization repetitively derive Pareto optimal solutions based on decision maker's preference information and present the obtained solutions for his/her consideration. Some interactive methods save the obtained solutions into a solution pool and, at each iteration, allow the decision maker considering any of solutions obtained earlier. This feature contributes to the flexibility of exploring the Pareto optimal set and learning about the optimization problem. However, in the case of many objective functions, the accumulation of derived solutions makes accessing the sol…
Kosmētikas industrijas ilgtspējīgās attīstības reklāmu multimodālā analīze
2020
