Para amortiguar los impactos de la pelota durante el golpeo, los jugadores se confeccionan sus propias protecciones. En torno a ellas existen diversos factores que dificultan la práctica segura y eficaz de este deporte: el excesivo tiempo empleado en su elaboración, el elevado número de lesiones que sufren en las manos o el inadecuado control de la pelota que consiguen. The case study presented in this paper aimed at discovering opportunities for ambient intelligence and new interaction methods for a future remote crane-operating environment. The theoretical objective was to carry out an experience-driven research project in an industrial work context, and the practical objective was to create and evaluate a future oriented science fiction prototype. This chapter addresses the issue of becoming a teacher, with the induction phase as a critical transition from initial teacher education to the lifelong professional learning of teachers, and mentoring as a tool of support. It presents newly qualified teachers’ views on initial teacher education and discusses the need for fostering the connection between teacher training and the induction year. This chapter draws upon some of the main results of two Finnish nationwide case studies on how common efforts of education providers and organizations’ personnel support VET (vocational education and training) students along their individual learning paths. The first study concerns best practices to prevent early leaving, and the second was a Finnish national pilot programme to assist uncertain students who have somewhat weak prerequisites to enter vocational education. Integrative Pedagogy in Practicum

The chapter introduces a model of integrative pedagogy in teaching practicum within a Finnish context. The aim of this action research project is to integrate educational theory and practice in teaching practicum with a view to promote student teachers professional autonomy. In the Integrative Pedagogy Model, theoretical knowledge, practical skills and self-regulation (reflective and metacognitive skills) are merged. The empirical part of the chapter is based on the content analysis of the experiences of students and their supervising teachers. The results show that an exceptional sense of community is being achieved in this kind of teaching practicum.

Es presenta com s'ha constituït una comunitat social d'investigació (CSI) amb 48 persones majors institucionalitzades des de la responsabilitat social universitària (RSU) i des d'una perspectiva humanista. En aquesta CSI es va valorar el benestar psicològic de les persones institucionalitzades amb mètodes quantitatius i qualitatius, i amb una proposta d'investigació-acció participativa (IAP).
