THE IMPACT OF HEADMASTER’S LEADERSHIP PRACTICE ON THE FORMATION OF A PROFESSIONAL LEARNING COMMUNITY AT SCHOOL

2019

In the context of general education content reform initiated in Latvia, which also provides change of teaching approach, the issue of the role of headmaster has raised. The introduction and implementation of competence approach requires strengthening and development of cooperation between teachers in professional learning communities (PLCs) at school, in order to address didactic issues, regularly analyze pupils` learning outcomes and find best ways to increase the learning outcomes of each pupil, and give an opportunity for teachers to improve their teaching by sharing good pedagogical practice. The change of teaching approach prompts a revision of school management practices as well. In o…

AFFETTIVITA' ED ETICA NELLE RELAZIONI EDUCATIVE FAMILIARI. PERCORSI DI PHILOSOPHY FOR CHILDREN AND COMMUNITY

2021

2019

This research focuses on another research conducted in a bilingual educational context between Spanish and Valencian, with secondary school students, as is the case in the city of Valencia. In this context, the influence of the Valencian language is not as strong as in other areas of the Valencian Community, due to the presence of second and third generation speakers from Spanish-speaking contexts. In this way, we aim to check if the modality of schooling, carried out by students at the beginning and end of the secondary stage, between the Teaching Program in Valencian and the Progressive Incorporation Program, has some influence on their vocabulary available in Spanish.

Kaira Looro. Architecture Competition. Sacred Architecture

2017

Field of Confluences | Space of Convergences Four religions share one space characterized by pure geometry where beyond being a place of worship the integration and communion of different identities is facilitated. The designed space is the result of the composition of typological fragments from the four main religions: the space associated to Christian and Orthodox religions is characterized by the presence of the apse and the presbytery; the space of the Muslim religion is identified by the presence of the Mihrab while the space of the animist religion is not identified by any specific architectonical or typological element, but foresee spaces where is possible to place worship objects. Individual and combined effects of disturbance and N addition on understorey vegetation in a subarctic mountain birch forest

2011

Questions: What are the effects of repeated disturbance and N-fertilization on plant community structure in a mountain birch forest? What is the role of enhanced nutrient availability in recovery of understorey vegetation after repeated disturbance? How are responses of soil micro-organisms to disturbance and N-fertilization reflected in nutrient allocation patterns and recovery of understorey vegetation after disturbance? Location: Subarctic mountain birch forest, Finland. Methods: We conducted a fully factorial experiment with annual treatments of disturbance (two levels) and N-fertilization (four levels) during 1998‐2002. We monitored treatment effects on above-ground plant biomass, plan…

Smart Community Infrastructures

2016

This chapter outlines the concept of intelligent and multi-service infrastructures, addressing the interesting aspects of multi operability, potential of cogeneration and multi-carrier energy hubs, whose basic concepts were only recently described in [1]. The infrastructures that serve a community, such as energy distribution, water and waste piping, mobility and ICT networks are, in fact, the most important means for efficient operation of cities. The chapter, after outlining the contents of the document ISO TR 37150: 2014 concerning the Smart Community Infrastructures, highlights the different approaches needed to implement them within existing cities and newly built cities. At the end, t…

The Problem of the Transfer of the Results of Research and Innovations into the Sector Of Energy Conservation

1984

The manifold and different “barriers” that must be overcome to let the innovations deriving from research become widely known by users and operators alike, are being made the object of consideration all over the industrialized world and by the European Community itself.

Thermodynamics, transport phenomena, and electrochemistry of external field-assisted nonthermal food technologies

2017

Interest in the development and adoption of nonthermal technologies is burgeoning within the food and bioprocess industry, the associated research community, and among the consumers. This is evident from not only the success of some innovative nonthermal technologies at industrial scale, but also from the increasing number of publications dealing with these topics, a growing demand for foods processed by nonthermal technologies and use of natural ingredients. A notable feature of the nonthermal technologies such as cold plasma, electrohydrodynamic processing, pulsed electric fields, and ultrasound is the involvement of external fields, either electric or sound. Therefore, it merits to study…

Economic evaluation on the use of reconfiguration systems for increase of energy production in PV plants

2016

This paper presents an economic analysis of the effectiveness of Dynamic Reconfiguration Systems (DRS) for PV plants in dependence of the incentive policies offered by several countries of the European Community. This evaluation has been achieved by means of the NPV (Net Present Value) and through the comparison between Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Croatia. From the obtained results, it can be stated that the adoption of reconfiguration systems, in certain cases, can be a convenient solution.
