Robust technique for 3D shape reconstruction

Abstract In this paper a robust and simple scheme is presented for three dimensional (3D) shape reconstruction of real object. A novel composite pattern technique is proposed for projecting the light pattern on the object of interest. The proposed scheme reduces the number of patterns by combining the primary color coded channels into one composite format. Our approach uses both spatial and temporal intensity variation for calibration and construction phase. Gamma calibration is considered with the propose scheme. A Qualitative-Quantitative Approach to V-Belt Mechanics

A simplified formulation is adopted for the theoretical problem of tension distribution and radial penetration of a V-belt along the pulley groove. The trajectory portrait of the second order differential system describing the belt behavior is carefully analyzed and asymptotic approximations for the tension solutions are derived which are well suited for design purposes.

A very common configuration of V-belt variators for motorcycles considers the correction of the belt tensioning depending on the resistant torque by means of suitable helical-shaped tracks allowing the driven half-pulleys to close/open. The method is based on an accurate measurement of the three-dimensional parameters of the mirror through polariza- tion imaging. While inserting a rotating polarizer between the cam- era and the mirror, the system is automatically calibrated without any calibration patterns. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 45 lapām. Tas satur 28 attēlus un 40 literatūras atsauces. Darba mērķis bija izvērtēt optometriskās ārstēšanas ietekmi uz stājas izmaiņām. 11 pacientiem tika veikti mērījumi ar datorizētu stabilometrijas platformu pirms un pēc redzes treniņu veikšanas. Pacientam stāvot ar atvērtām acīm, pēc redzes treniņiem svara sadalījums bija sabalansētāks priekšēji-mugurējās ass virzienā, spiediena centrs nobīdījās tuvāk teorētiskajam centram, kā arī svārstību ātrums, amplitūda un laukums samazinājās. Cet article s'intéresse aux jointures entre deux courbes données par une courbe de Bézier rationnelle quintique à points massiques de contrôle. Pour ce faire, les propriétés différentielles de ces courbes de Bézier fournissent les formules de calcul des courbures en 0 et 1 ainsi que le cercle osculateur idoine.
