Sus propiedades fundamentales son descritas por la cromodinámica quántica (QCD). A energı́as elevadas, esta teorı́a ya ha sido bien comprobada con métodos perturbativos que tienen los quarks y gluones como grados de libertad. Influence of radiation defects on the optical absorption spectrum of nickel oxide (NiO) was studied at 6 K in the near-IR energy range of 7750-8300 cm-1 corresponding to the magnetic-dipole transition 3A 2g(F )->3T 2g(F ) at nickel sites. NiO single crystals grown by the method of chemical transport reactions on the MgO(100) substrates were irradiated by the neutron fluences up to 5x1018 cm-2. Two sharp lines were observed at the low-energy side of the band: the peak at 7805 cm-1 is assigned to the pure exciton transition, whereas the peak at 7845 cm-1, to the exciton-magnon excitation that occurs at the Brillouin zone-center (BZC). Nested MWC model describes hydrolysis of GroEL without assuming negative cooperativity in binding

Folding assistance and ATPase activity of GroEL are based on the existence of different conformations. In order to characterise these conformations, published data on steady state ATPase activity in the absence of GroES were reanalysed simultaneously in terms of the Nested MWC model. This model is a hierarchical extension of the symmetry-model of Monod et al. [J. Mol. Biol. 12 (1965) 88]. An unique set of GroEL specific parameters was obtained. This set was supported by comparison of predictions arising from this set of values with experimental data for hydrolysis of ATP in the presence of ADP and ATPgammaS, binding of ATPgammaS and ADP to GroEL in the absence of ATP, and binding of ATP as …
