This paper presents the results of a research study whose objective was to identify the facilitating factors and barriers that, in the opinion of representatives of the Spanish scientific community, impact the implementation of the new open science model in four areas: open access, open research data, research assessment and open peer review. A qualitative study was designed in which information was obtained through interviews with researchers, editors of scientific journals, representatives of assessment agencies and vice-chancellors, and through a focus group of librarians with expertise in aspects of open science. El objetivo de este trabajo es explorar la relación entre las prácticas utilizadas por los docentes para enseñar a leer y a escribir en el inicio de la escolaridad y las oportunidades de aprendizaje. Se realiza un análisis cualitativo de una serie de tareas !levadas a cabo en aulas donde desarrollan tres tipos de prácticas diferentes -instruccionales, multidimensionales y sítuacionales-. Los resultados muestran que estas prácticas difieren en cuanto al tipo de tareas llevadas a cabo; en cuanto a las dinámicas desarrolladas para !levar/as a cabo; en cuanto a los contenidos de lectura y escritura trabajados y en cuanto a los materiales utilizados. Cognitive Load and Learning in the Study of Multiple Documents

This study had two main purposes. First, to test how the availability of documents in multiple document reading might affect students’ levels of cognitive load. Secondly, to develop an instrument that captures the different sources of load when working with multiple documents. A total of 125 secondary school students read four short texts on transgenic foods and subsequently responded to an open-ended question that required them to write an essay expressing their personal stance towards the topic. The purpose of this study was to i) examine reliability and construct validity of the pictorial scale of Perceived Movement Skill Competence (PMSC) aligned to the third version of the Test of Gross Motor Development (TGMD-3) in a sample of Spanish children; and to ii) analyse the validity of the PMSC and children’s perceived motor competence (MC) according to gender. A convenience sample of 361 children (55.7% boys) between 4 and 11 years-old participated. The pictorial scale of PMSC (19 items) was administered (a random subsample repeated the PMSC twice).
