Despite the existing knowledge concerning the hydrodynamic processes at river junctions, there is still a lack of information regarding the particular case of low width and discharge ratios, which are the typical conditions of mountain river confluences. Aiming at filling this gap, laboratory and numerical experiments were conducted, comparing the results with literature findings. Ten different confluences from 45 ∘ to 90 ∘ were simulated to study the effects of the junction angle on the flow structure, using a numerical code that solves the 3D Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations with the k- ϵ turbulence closure model. Kā drošāks vakcīnas veids ir subvienību vakcīnas. Daudzsološākais DENV antigēns subvienību vakcīnas izveidē ir apvalka proteīna III domēns. Lai palielinātu antigēna subvienības imunogenitāti, tiek izmantotas vīrusveidīgās daļiņas (VLP) kā svešu antigēnu nesēji. A highly stereoselective triple domino reaction for the synthesis of functionalized tricyclic chromane scaffolds has been developed. A secondary amine-catalyzed domino Michael/Michael/aldol condensation reaction between aliphatic aldehydes, nitro-chromenes, and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes leads to the formation of synthetically important tricyclic chromanes bearing four contiguous stereogenic centers including a tetrasubstituted carbon in good yields (20–66%) and excellent stereoselectivities (>20:1 dr and >99% ee).

Siliceous sponges form their skeletal elements, the spicules, enzymatically via the sponge-specific enzyme silicatein. The enzymatic product of silicatein in vitro is a bio-silica polymer that is not processed/hardened by phase separation. In the present study we applied a two-phase system to investigate the transition of bio-silica, formed by silicatein, from the lucid state to the opaque/turbid state. We report for the first time that the polyether polyethylene glycol [PEG] causes a rapid transition of the lucid bio-silica to the opaque/turbid state.
