The profiles of health care utilization among a non-depressed population and patients with depressive symptoms with and without clinical depression

Objective: To examine health service (HS) utilization profiles among a non-depressive population and patients with depressive symptoms (DS) with and without clinical depression. Design, subjects and setting: The study population was based on primary care patients with DS scoring ≥10 in the 21-item Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and who were at least 35 years old and had been referred to depression nurse case managers (n = 705). Their psychiatric diagnosis was confirmed with the Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview (M.I.N.I.). Of these patients, 447 had clinical depression. Small-angle x-ray scattering studies of melting

The course of melting of melt-crystallized polyethylene fractions and of a poly(ethylene oxide)-polystyrene-poly(ethylene oxide) triblock copolymer has been followed by small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS). Changes in the intensity and shape of the SAXS curves indicated that both surface melting and melting over the full crystallite thickness (full-strand melting) take place. Full strand melting is the final, irreversible process. Comparison with an analytical model indicates that in the earlier stages of the irreversible, full-strand process the crystallites melt out randomly throughout the bulk. Later stages may occur by the simultaneous melting of a larger stack of crystallites.

Acute subdural hemorrhage (ASDH) is a frequent and devastating consequence of traumatic brain injury. Tissue damage develops rapidly and makes treatment even more difficult. We present results from a study that examines impact of persuasive reminders and virtual rehearsal on the effectiveness of a Behavior Change Support System. Good Life Compass is a web-based BCSS aimed at supporting people with mild to moderate depression without face-to-face therapy. NG2 cells: Properties, progeny and origin

The NG2 proteoglycan is a type 1-transmembrane protein expressed by a range of cell types within and outside the mammalian nervous system. NG2-expressing (NG2) cells are found in grey and white matter tracts of the developing and adult CNS and have previously been assumed to represent oligodendrocyte precursor cells: new work using transgenic mice has shown that NG2 cells generate oligodendrocytes, protoplasmic astrocytes and in some instances neurons in vivo.
