Hysteretic Systems Subjected to Delta Correlated Input

The paper deals with the evaluation of the probabilistic response of a single degree of freedom elastic-perfectly plastic system subjected to a delta correlated input process. The probabilistic characterisation of the response is here obtained by considering the accumulated plastic deformations as a compound homogeneous Poisson process independent of the external input. In this case the former can be considered as an external noise acting on the linear system. A closed form solution is also obtained and the analytic expression is compared with the customary Monte-Carlo method.

Emotional user experience and feeling of control

Current research on emotional user experience lacks a clear exposition on the relationship between feeling of control and the emotion response. The appraisal theory of emotion posits that perceived control over an event is an important factor in determining the emotional response to the event. It is therefore hypothesised, that the relationship between emotional experiences and interaction events is mediated by feeling of control. In an experiment (N = 38), participants used a joystick to control game objects, and gave self-reports of their emotional states and feeling of control. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar la experiencia de las tertulias pedagógicas dialógicas como estrategia en la formación inicial de maestros. Los participantes fueron el alumnado de la asignatura de Observación e Innovación sobre la Práctica en el aula de educación Infantil del Grado de Maestro en Educación Infantil de la Universitat de Valencia. La muestra está formada por un total de 50 estudiantes (49 mujeres y 1 hombre). The article starts from a conception of language according to which the semiotic units that speakers use do not emanate from individual mental processes but from the socialization of representation instruments which, being individual elements initially, have later been involved in processes of communicative circulation.
