Demystifying the Influential IS Legends of Positivism : Response to Lee’s Commentary

We respond to Lee’s (forthcoming) commentary on our article “Demystifying the Influential IS Legends of Positivism” (Siponen & Tsohou [S&T], 2018). Lee offers four arguments against our analyses and conclusions in S&T (2018). First, because logical positivism (LP) has been discredited, he contends it cannot be used as a normative standard in IS. We clarify that our conclusions in S&T (2018) point to (1) the lack of justification for certain IS beliefs, and (2) a misunderstanding rather than legitimacy of LP as a philosophy of science. Análisis sectorial de la exposición al riesgo de interés de las empresas españolas

Este trabajo analiza la exposición al riesgo de interés de las empresas españolas a nivel sectorial durante el período 1993-2001 utilizando una técnica de regresión móvil que permite identificar posibles variaciones en el tiempo en la sensibilidad de los sectores bursátiles ante los cambios de los tipos de interés. Los resultados obtenidos muestran un significativo grado de exposición para los sectores bancario, eléctrico y de construcción. Asimismo, su sensibilidad ante los tipos de interés no se mantiene estable en el tiempo, cobrando una especial intensidad en el escenario de tipos de interés históricamente bajos vigente desde finales de los años noventa. rferrer@uv.es; ecglez@uv.es

Service Climate and Display of Employees’ Positive Emotions: The Mediating Role of Burnout and Engagement in Services

This article aims to test a model linking service climate to the frequency of expression of positive emotions by frontline employees. We propose that burnout and engagement at work mediate the relationship between service climate and the expression of positive emotions. Service climate impacts negatively on burnout and positively on engagement; in turn, burnout and engagement are significantly related to the frequency of expression of positive emotions. Tässä integroivassa kirjallisuuskatsauksessa selvitettiin, miten ammatillista kuntoutusta ja tuettua työllistymistä koskevassa kansainvälisessä kirjallisuudessa on jäsennetty työnantajien ja työhönvalmennuksen ammattilaisten välistä yhteistyötä ja suhdetta. Keskityimme siihen, millaiset työnantajayhteistyön toimintatavat ja strategiat on nähty toimiviksi ja miten yhteistyösuhdetta rakennetaan ja ylläpidetään. Aineiston muodostivat yksilöityjen hakukriteerien avulla valikoidut 19 tekstiä tieteellisistä aikakauslehdistä. Aineisto analysoitiin temaattisen analyysin periaatteita hyödyntäen.
