The aim of this study was to investigate how regular singing lessons and deliberate practice impact future teachers’ voice quality and their expression in speech and singing. Previous research about teachers’ speaking voice has shown that kindergarten teachers and classroom teachers are at high risk of showing symptoms or developing disorders, which weaken their effectiveness of expression. This paper focuses on the evaluation of an aid scheme included in a larger local development program framework implemented in Italy during the 2000-2006 cycle of EU Structural Funds. It follows a previous analysis (Cusimano & Mazzola, 2014) on the ex-post evaluation of the effectiveness of the resources allocated to aid schemes included in the Italian territorial integrated projects (TIPs) and aims at identifying the possible presence of selection bias in measuring the effectiveness of the policy. Information quality evaluation methodology for web page directories

The article presents information quality evaluation methodology for websites directories. In the first part of the article the theoretical basis for website directories was presented (ways of information acquisition, classification and issues relating to quality of websites). The second part of the article was devoted to the research methodology for evaluating quality of information collected in website directories. The identification of quality characteristics carried out shall allow for evaluating quality of general information and of information in thematic directories on web pages. The article ends with a summary containing conclusions and guidelines for further research directions.

Background Green synthesis of nanomaterials finds the edge over chemical methods due to its environmental compatibility. Herein, we report green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) mediated with dextran. Dextran was used as a stabilizer and capping agent to synthesize Ag NPs using silver nitrate (AgNO3) under diffused sunlight conditions. Results UV–vis spectra of as synthesized Ag nanoparticles showed characteristic surface plasmon band in the range from ~405-452 nm. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) studies showed spherical Ag NPs in the size regime of ~50-70 nm. In-flight recoil separators RITU and MARA and the standard detector setups

In-flight recoil separators RITU and MARA at Jyväskylä Accelerator Laboratory are complementary devices to separate the fusion-evaporation residues from the primary beam and other reaction products. The nuclear-structure-research program at Jyväskylä utilizes these separators and the detector setups shared between the separators to identify weak reaction channels and extract nuclear-structure information via decay experiments and in-beam spectroscopic studies. For example the very weak N∼Z nuclei are studied in-beam by using 𝛽-decay tagging method (Tuike scintillator) enhanced with the mass selection (MARA) and charge particle-evaporation veto (JYTube). peerReviewed

Resumen basado en el de la publicación Título, resumen y palabras clave en inglés y español Se trata el tema del estrés docente, analizando las propiedades psicométricas de la escala ED-6, elaborada para el estudio, con el objetivo de medir el estrés o malestar docente de cara a su utilización en un marco más amplio de investigaciones sobre este fenómeno. Los resultados muestran una fiabilidad y validez aceptable, quedando conformados por 77 ítems y 6 dimensiones: ansiedad, depresión, presiones, creencias, desmotivación y mal afrontamiento.
