Abstract Compartmentalized reaction networks regulating signal processing, communication and pattern formation are central to living systems. Towards achieving life‐like materials, we compartmentalized urea‐urease and more complex urea‐urease/ester‐esterase pH‐feedback reaction networks into hydrogel spheres and investigate how fuel‐driven pH fronts can be sent out from these spheres and regulated by internal reaction networks. Membrane characteristics are installed by covering urease spheres with responsive hydrogel shells. The action of a compact Lie group on nilpotent Lie algebras of type {{n,2}}

Abstract We classify finite-dimensional real nilpotent Lie algebras with 2-dimensional central commutator ideals admitting a Lie group of automorphisms isomorphic to SO 2 ( ℝ ) ${{\mathrm{SO}}_{2}(\mathbb{R})}$ . This is the first step to extend the class of nilpotent Lie algebras 𝔥 ${{\mathfrak{h}}}$ of type { n , 2 } ${\{n,2\}}$ to solvable Lie algebras in which 𝔥 ${{\mathfrak{h}}}$ has codimension one.

Darbā tiek pētīts pamattiesību aizskārums kā neatņemama sastāvdaļa pieteikumam Satversmes tiesā. Šī temata ietvaros autore pēta arī aizskārumu kā priekšnoteikumu pašvaldības domes pieteikumam Satversmes tiesā. Lai pilnvērtīgāk izprastu šī jautājuma teorētiskos un praktiskos aspektus, darbā tiek pētīts arī jautājums par aizskārumu kā priekšnoteikumu Eiropas Cilvēktiesību tiesā, kā arī administratīvajā tiesā Latvijā. Mērķa sasniegšanai autore izpētīja gan tiesību doktrīnu, gan arī tiesu praksi, kā arī izmantoja tiesnešu atsevišķo domu institūtu. Diplomdarbs sastāv no ievada, 3 nodaļām, 13 apakšnodaļām, nobeiguma, izmantotās literatūras un 20 pielikumiem. The existence of suppletion in a Proto-Indo-European language is still a question of debate (García Ramón 2002). While the evidence for such a phenomenon has been widely recognized within the verbal system of most Indo-European languages, some scholars describe it as a recent monoglot development which characterizes the history of each single language without involving a previous common stage. Partnership formation and dissolution over the life course: applying sequence analysis and event history analysis in the study of recurrent events

We present two types of approach to the analysis of recurrent events for discretely measured data, and show how these methods can complement each other when analysing co-residential partnership histories. Sequence analysis is a descriptive tool that gives an overall picture of the data and helps to find typical and atypical patterns in histories. Event history analysis is used to make conclusions about the effects of covariates on the timing and duration of the partnerships.
