Hard Two-Photon Contribution to Elastic Lepton-Proton Scattering Determined by the OLYMPUS Experiment

The OLYMPUS collaboration reports on a precision measurement of the positron-proton to electron-proton elastic cross section ratio, $R_{2\gamma}$, a direct measure of the contribution of hard two-photon exchange to the elastic cross section. In the OLYMPUS measurement, 2.01~GeV electron and positron beams were directed through a hydrogen gas target internal to the DORIS storage ring at DESY. A toroidal magnetic spectrometer instrumented with drift chambers and time-of-flight scintillators detected elastically scattered leptons in coincidence with recoiling protons over a scattering angle range of $\approx 20\degree$ to $80\degree$. Opportunità educative della realtà aumentata nella formazione iniziale dei docenti

Il presente contributo mira a esplorare gli atteggiamenti nei confronti della realtà aumentata dei docenti di scuola primaria e dell’infanzia in formazione iniziale. L’indagine ha coinvolto 299 studenti dell'Università di Palermo. Si tratta di studenti, prevalentemente donne (94%; n=281), iscritti al primo anno del corso di laurea in Scienze della Formazione Primaria. L'età dei partecipanti è compresa tra i 18 ei 38 anni, con un'età media di 20,57 anni (SD=3,4). Patrząc z perspektywy 40 lat od śmierci pierwszego biskupa opolskiego na jego wpływ na recepcję odnowy liturgicznej w Polsce i w jego diecezji, trzeba zdecydowanie podkreślić jego pozytywny wkład w to dzieło. Analiza dokumentów i jego osobistych notatek pokazuje nam osobę bardzo pracowitego biskupa, który niewątpliwie należał do grona najaktywniejszych polskich ojców soborowych. The SO2F2 quasi-spherical top: Correspondence between tensorial and Watson's formalisms

Abstract The SO2F2 quasi-spherical top molecule with C2v symmetry is considered as a distorted spherical top deriving from the SO 4 2 − tetrahedral ion. We present here a detailed correspondence between the tensorial formalism using the Td⊃C2v reorientation and the usual Hamiltonian of Watson. We have also performed ab initio calculations in order to determine the centrifugal distorsion constants in the vibrational ground state.

Dynamics of hydrofracturing and permeability evolution in layered reservoirs

International audience; A coupled hydro-mechanical model is presented to model fluid driven fracturing in layered porous rocks. In the model the solid elastic continuum is described by a discrete element approach coupled with a fluid continuum grid that is used to solve Darcy based pressure diffusion. The model assumes poro-elasto-plastic effects and yields real time dynamic aspects of the fracturing and effective stress evolution under the influence of excess fluid pressure gradients. We show that the formation and propagation of hydrofractures are sensitive to mechanical and tectonic conditions of the system.
